Avon released this version of the Turbosteel radial tyre in the 1980s as a radial replacement for popular crossply sizes of the 1950s and early 60s, particularly those fitted to higher-performance vehicles.

Now produced in two sizes to replace 550-16 and 600-16 crossply sizes, the CR6D provides all the advantages of radial construction in a tyre that evokes the look of period-performance crossplies. These tyres will be slightly wider and lower than many of the original crossply tyres in an equivalent size.

This 185VR16 size Avon Turbosteel is an ideal radial replacement tyre for: Jaguar XK120, XK140, XK150; Bristol 401, 403, 405, 406, 407, and 408; Aston Martin DB2, DB2-4, DB Mk3, and DB4. It replaces the crossply size 600-16.
