Servicing - We've got you covered
Like you, we believe a classic should run reliably while protecting its long-term value. The key to achieving both is a carefully managed annual service.
Modern motoring has conditioned us to think in 20,000-mile service intervals - yet it wasn’t long ago that cars required attention every 3,000 miles or six months. For vehicles built before 2000, servicing is not just about oil changes and replacing worn components; it demands comprehensive care.
Collector cars are used differently today. Statistics show the average classic is driven just 32 days a year and paradoxically, long periods of inactivity place greater strain on components than regular use.
With so many makes and models, a “one-size-fits-all” approach simply doesn’t work. That’s why at Classic Collective, we’ve developed tailored service schedules, refined from experience with over a thousand vehicles. Adjusted for variations such as fuel injection, electronic ignition, or air-cooled systems, our schedules ensure every car in classic use receives exactly the attention it needs.
For your specific marque or model, our engineers can adapt this framework to deliver the most comprehensive annual care. Keeping your classic safe, reliable, and ready for the road.

Classic Car Service Schedules
Classics with carburettors
These service schedules are tailored for all water-cooled, carburetted classics.
Including Jaguar, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Triumph, Lotus, MG, Ford, BMC, and Land Rover.
Air cooled - VW & Porsche
With more than 300 classic VW and Porsche models entrusted to our care, Classic Collective has the expertise to keep your air-cooled classic in peak condition through our dedicated service schedules.
Fuel injected classics
Designed for all water-cooled collector cars with fuel injection.
Including Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, BMW, Lotus, and the Range Rover Classic.
Brake & clutch fluid
To ensure safety and performance, brake and clutch fluid should be replaced every two years. Regardless of mileage as it naturally absorbs moisture from the atmosphere.
Engine oil change
An annual essential:
If a full service isn’t possible, fresh oil and a new filter should be the absolute minimum maintenance carried out each year.
Coolant change
Fresh coolant protects against silt and corrosion that can clog your radiator.
It should be replaced every two years, regardless of mileage.
Classic car MOT
While most classics are exempt from MOT testing, regular inspections remain vital.
Skipping them can compromise safety and in certain circumstances, leave you at risk of prosecution.

Benefits of an annual service
Engine health — fresh oil and filters changed annually
Reliability — fluids checked and replaced on schedule
Preservation — chassis lubrication to protect vital components
Safety — thorough inspection for wear or damage
Performance — precise engine tune for power and efficiency
Peace of mind — annual safety check as standard
Confidence — correct classic oil top-ups to keep you moving
The right classic oil
Classic Oils, Engineered for Heritage
For nearly 90 years, engine oil had one purpose: to ensure moving metal parts glided smoothly, preventing wear. In the last two decades, oil technology has shifted, focused instead on lowering emissions, extending service intervals, and improving fuel economy.
Modern oils are often too thin to protect the critical components of classic engines. That’s why we’ve partnered with Witham Oils. A UK company with over a century of blending expertise, to co-develop a dedicated range of classic oils.
Formulated specifically for vehicles in classic use, these oils deliver the protection your engine truly needs, preserving performance and longevity mile after mile.
